Privacy notice
How Mzansi Tenders (Mzansi Tenders, a trading name of TSH Textiles (Pty) Ltd) handles your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect, and why
Your account: your email address, your login sessions and your package, so you can log in and use what you pay for.
Your company profile: company name, registration, CSD, B-BBEE, CIDB, contact details, sectors and provinces, and your compliance documents' expiry dates, so we can match tenders to you, check your readiness and fill in forms for you.
Documents you upload (company registration, tax PIN, B-BBEE, CSD report, ID copies and similar): stored privately and shown only to you. We use them only to help you bid: to check with AI that each one is the right, readable and current document, read their dates, warn you before they expire and bundle them for your submissions. We never share them with buyers, suppliers or anyone else, and you can delete any file at any time in My profile; deleting it removes it from our system.
Business services and packages: the details and documents on the order form, which can include directors' names, ID numbers, residential addresses, ID copies, proof of address and bank details. We use them only to apply on your business's behalf for the services you order, together with the registration partner doing the work.
My bids: the tenders you're bidding on, your notes, contacts and the copies you upload, so we can keep your bid file and send you updates.
Supplier applications: the details on the vendor application. Once we approve you, the details marked as shown on your listing are published on the Suppliers page; the rest stays with us.
Payments: PayFast processes every payment. We receive the payment result and your subscription reference, never your card details.
Free Tender Ready Score and alerts: your business details (company name, registration number, contact person, email and phone), your answers and the code that confirms your email address, to issue and email your score certificate and send the alerts you asked for. Anyone with a certificate number can check on our site that it is genuine: they see the company name, score and date, never your contact details.
Who else handles it
Our hosting provider (where the site and database run), our email provider (to send account emails, alerts and receipts), PayFast (payments), the registration partners who complete business services you order, and Anthropic (the AI that translates notices, checks the documents you upload and drafts submission packs: we send it the tender details, the document being checked and the company details needed, and it does not use them to train its models). Some of these providers store information outside South Africa, under agreements that protect it as POPIA requires. We never sell your information or use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account, and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example, payment records for tax). Order documents are kept so you can download them; ask us and we'll delete them.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Uploaded documents and delivered documents can only be downloaded by the account that owns them and by our staff. See Security and privacy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to its use. Email Business@mzansitenders.co.za. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
Tender data
Tender information comes from public sources such as National Treasury's eTenders open data. Bidder lists and award notices are published by the buyers themselves; we remove personal ID numbers from them.
